Tower defense placement: the mistakes I stopped making

Most people, myself included, start by dropping towers wherever there's space. That's the first mistake. The best spots are corners and choke points where enemies stay in range longest.

Second lesson: don't spread your damage thin. A cluster of upgraded towers usually beats a scattered bunch of weak ones. Focus fire wins waves.

Save some money. It's tempting to spend every coin the moment you have it, but keeping a small reserve for emergency upgrades has saved more runs for me than anything else.

Finally, watch the first wave carefully. It tells you what's coming. Armor-heavy enemies mean you need piercing damage, swarms mean splash. Adjust before it's too late.
